You'll have to go back and fix the overlap. I don't know what you did, so I can't tell you how to fix it...

(Sometimes it is better to start again from scratch.)

It is not uncommon to make a mistake and only notice it much later; this is a learning experience! To say something stupid (but true): the more you suffer in repairing your mistake, the less likely it'll be that you make the same mistake again (and in general, you'll be more careful).

I'm a little late to the party, but here's what I would do in case you haven't already found a fix!

    Solution

It appears you have overlapping faces likely due to the array and curve modifiers that we used. You will likely have the modifiers applied already, but what you can do is delete a loop or two where the faces over lap, and try to merge loops that are close together (you may have to move some loops manually to merge them together).

If you are comfortable with "edge slides" by tapping the G key twice and welding vertices, instead of deleting loops you can try sliding some and welding. This will save you from having to re-unwrap.

Hopefully this gives you some options if you haven't found a solution yet!

    Cheers!
