During the tutorial my cube turn or went dark no longer showing the highlighted sides. Why did this happen and how to I return to the highlighted cube.
Click on the cube. If you click in empty space then the cube becomes unselected.

If that wasn't it, could you add a screenshot please ( you can, for instance use the built-in one. in Blender, go to Window > Save Screenshot).
