correct set up for reference images

Hi. I opened the reference files to get started on the cartoon head modeling lesson but the reference images are not set up in the cartoon_head_01 file. Unless I'm missing something? I imported the image I found in the downloaded files but I dont know how to set up the reference images so I get a front and side view to work from like the tutorial. I tried duplicating and rotating the second version but seems like its not the correct set-up. Any help would be appreciated so I can follow along the tutorial without worrying about the right reference image set-up.
Thanks.

Yeah that's how it goes, it's two images for you to flip and setup as you see fit. There's an image setup that goes on in the Press Start course if you want to take a look at that:

    Also in the REV course:

go to front view, press shift+a->Images->background. Then select your image. Goto side view(I prefere right side or numpad3) and do the same thing. You can use reference instead of background. The difference is that Reference by default will show no mater the angle. Background will only show when you are in that view. Also background by default shows in back. I personally change this to front then check opacity and set it between 20 and 60 depending on the image. These settings can be found in the data/Empty tab of the properties editor. Then you just have to move them into position just like any other object. Some people like to move the images physically behind the mesh building area. Like a meter or 3. The front would be on the Y axis and the side would be on the x axis. It's a matter of taste.
