Linking Different Shapes in Blender ?

Hi, I'm new here :))  Is it possible to link two different shaped objects in Blender, like a cone and a cube, without duplicating them? I wonder if parenting is the only way or if there are alternative methods to link objects for shared properties or control. Thanks for any advice!

    Hi Savvina SSavvina ,

CTRL+L will open up a Link Menu where you can choose things that you want to Link.

The Linking works from the Active (last selected) Object to the other Selected Objects.

Instead of using SHIFT+D to duplicate the object(s)...
Use ALT+D, this will duplicate the object(s), however the duplicates will share the same data properties.
