Inset Circles at 8:40

posted to: Modeling the Sides

Hello I tried pressing I for inseting but then the dotted line appear like it's working fine but the circles do not inset at all no matter how much I move the mouse around. I tried looking up for info on google, applying Scale pressing B and all the other options you can try when pressing I nothing works if someone can help that would be great because I don't understand why this is happening while at previous steps it worked just fine.

    Hi Ham RED aashromNTL ,

That's hard to tell, but maybe it is like this:

A Circle by default has no Faces and maybe you forgot to press F to 'Fill' the first Circle with a Face, before you Duplicated it.

    Inset needs a Face.

Post a screenshot or a screen recording to have a better idea what's going on.

Also sometimes you everything selected and there's no place to inset to, you need a face selected. Also try removing doubles, that seems to be the number one issue. So select everything and M to merge by distance.
