The most common issue is double vertices, select everything and M to merge by distance. See if that helps.

    Solution

Most likely it has to do with the relation of your object dimensions, scale and your bevel amount. Be sure your scale is 1, 1, 1 if not then apply it. Also if your object dimension is such that your object is very tiny, you'd have to go for a very small bevel amount, so instead of 0.1, maybe 0.0001 or something like that, try playing around.

    Solution

That looks like your Objects Scale is not Applied, as Omar mentioned above.

In Object Mode, with the model Selected: CTRL+A > Apply > Scale.

i am so new that how he wrote i didnt know that i need to apply scale.

why do i need to do this while in the video it doesnt need to be?  the video creator did it before so hes scale was allready applied while mine was never done so i had to?

I'd have to watch the video again to know what happened, but my guess is, that Jonathan Scaled the Object in Edit Mode, thus only moving Vertices, not changing the Object's Scale...You'll get used to the difference...

I always say that Press Start is not all that beginner friendly, there are tricky stuff going on that you need a base level of understanding of, so starting with the Fundamentals is always a must, I'll link you up:

raspora I just ran into this myself. (Well maybe different, but will share anyways to help others) Applying the Bevel Modifier with seemingly nothing happening at the object level.

Transforms and Scale for me were applied and I also ran the M to see if I had stray verts. IN the end I had missed Jonathan unchecking "clamp overlap". Once I did this and set my Amount to .01 cm I was back in the game.
