Project Image Uploads Not Working

CG Cookie

Does anyone else have a problem with trying to upload images to projects? I am using a small file size but when I try to upload the page refreshes after a while and says please review problems below. There are no problems listed below.

    HI Kaleb KKryo ,

I did a very crude test, but didn't notice any problems uploading a project...

Refreshing the page, or clearing your Browser cache might help...

Maybe it's an issue with your payment...you can shoot an Email to support@cgcookie.com

Odd, I tried clearing the cache and all my history I even downloaded Chome and tried that. No luck. I'll give that a shot not a huge deal though. Thanks.

I had that problem. I just logged out. Rebooted my machine and logged back in. That fixed it for me.

Yea, I tried that as well. Didn't seem to help anything unfortunately. I found this thread from forever ago https://cgcookie.com/community/14193-problem-with-uploading-new-project-images. That is pretty much what I am experiencing.

    Hey KKryo,

When adding images to a project, you need to add your project images at the bottom of the main editing project area, and also add a cover image in the small area on the right.
    Click update project.

If this is still failing for you, can you post a screenshot of the page with the error.
And also confirm the image size(s) and the file format.

Maybe is one of those very specific bugs that go unnoticed for a long time. If you can share those screenshot Kaleb and follow this through so this bug can be squashed.

Sorry for the delayed response. It seems I have this problem when trying to upload images for my avatar as well (Just testing if it was just the projects page). When doing so I get 1 of 2 messages. Which I've attempted to attach screenshots of.

The first thing I was getting is a message saying "please review problems below". This message appears on the webpage but doesn't display any problems below. If the screenshots I am attempting to upload here don't make it you can see an example from a previous post here https://cgcookie.com/community/14193-problem-with-uploading-new-project-images.

The second message I get a message saying

    "hmmm... can't reach this page

It looks like the webpage at https://cgcookie.com/projects/sessions-minimalism might be having issues, or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

    ERR_HTTP2_PING_FAILED"

I feel like the second message is probably a timeout of the POST request made but I'm speculating on that. I don't typically have connection issues that'd cause that though.

Adrian does this go to the higher ups then? email support? Talk to the devs? What's the play?

    Hey KKryo
I have looked at your project in admin. It's an empty project.
There are a few reasons why the project is not working.

Firstly you need to put something in the project,
select a category for the project, clicking in the empty box will list the categories to choose from.
Add your image(s) using the '+Add Image' button, then click update project.

Next, add a project cover image by clicking 'choose file' and selecting an image.

When your done and ready for the world to see your work, click 'Make Public', as you can see on the top right it says draft, which means it is only visible to you while logged in to CGCookie, which is probably the reason for the error page.

The project is empty because it fails to upload the project cover or any images.  That is why it is empty. The error messages I mention above are after attempting to upload a project cover or attempting to add an image. I also tried again in the exact order you mentioned and get the same ERR_HTTP2_PING_FAILED message.

Seems to just be a me issue though.

All I can suggest then, is perhaps clearing your browser cache and/or delete this project and try again from scratch.

I tried all that too. See above in the thread. It isn't a big deal though like I said. I appreciate everyone's help.
