Outdated

I wonder if you guys are working or will be working on a new Blender Basics course. This course seems very outdated, because interface has changed a lot since the time these videos were recorded. It just complicates the whole learning process, when you have to look for every tool that teacher is talking about, cuz you either don't have it on your interface or it's located somewhere else.

As far as I know there isn't any plans to update it, Blender changes too fast to play that game of cat and mouse. It is always a dilemma because it surely is a hassle to try and follow up with what you see in the video if it no longer corresponds to what you see in your Blender version. What people mostly do is download the Blender version that is being used in the lesson so you can follow along. Even though the interface has change, the knowledge is still the same, the concept to learn doesn't change, it's just a location problem more than anything. Other courses that are more up to date will bring you up to speed when it comes to interface if you have the knowledge, so you can watch the lessons with that in mind. Hope this helps.

    This course is updated:
    blender-3-basics-intro-to-blender

and will no doubt be updated again soon if the need arises with the release of Blender 4.0 very soon.

All the older course available hold valuable information that withstands the test of time.
It is recommended to follow along with any course (old or new) to use the Blender version as in the course.
