    Using Blender 2.75, I do not have the option of "Mapping" in the Vector dropdown, and none of the other options give me a way to rotate the image as far as I can tell. T^T

      Had this problem and then realised that you can scroll up in the popup menu that appears when you click on the vector option. Mapping is there!
