    Hi! I am having the same problem with "missing data" before that I were trying to make a taxture three times, I have saved it few times each case, and... It was gone! I couldn't get when. It was so dissapointing... Please, help me with that! I really want to finish it.

      Solution
      Adding a new paint slot creates its own texture in addition to any you create when 2D painting with the UV Image Editor. You can manually drop in your 2D-created texture in BI’s texture panel, as seen in this lesson.
