my transform tool, while using it in sculpt mode, keeps disappearing and i can't get it back after setting pivot to mask border

half the time it works and i can see it but at some point in my workflow it just disappears and when i select any of the transforms they don't appear and when i switch to object mode and select the object then choose a transform it does not show up in object mode either. And when i change the pivot to something else it still does not show up.In the instructors example you can see it just fine
