Can't see the new overview video? Also, confused

posted to: Multiball Rig Demo

Hi there

I'm not really sure what's going on this video. For the second half, are you trying to show simply how you can copy a rig set up into another file?

If so, I'm not sure it works now in 3.1. I go into the file, and I can't see a folder called Group. I suppose I did download the 2.8 version you posted elsewhere.

Apparently, proxies are no longer a thing. Alt + P didn't do anything for me.

I tried copying the file called "MULTIBALL" in from the Collections file. But I don't think that copied the rig over, just the ball.

I'm really confused. Could you explain what the tutorial is showing and how it relates to 2022 version of Blender? That would be really appreciated.

Many thanks

I believe if you watch Wayne linking assets in this course, which is more up to date, you'll get the hang of it and will be able to apply it in that old course. Hopefully though, fingers crossed that it helps you out. 🤞🏼

    Hi Neishy,
There is an updated course coming in the not too distance future, but Omar's link should sort you  out.

You are right - proxies have been depreciated, so it's all 'Library Overrides' now.
It's almost the same to set it up except after linking in the master collection (ALL CAPS) then you create an override by searching (F3) and type "Override".  You will see the option called "Library Override- Make"
(They keep changing this slightly with every release but it should be the first option)
