I am currently working on a small animation: Here a cloud flies relaxed over the screen and a penis hangs relaxed out of the cloud.
Seen as a still, I'm satisfied with everything, but in the animation the cloud is jerky and the shading in particular causes problems. There are hard and erratic jumps in hue. This really looks like an error.
It's best, of course, you look at this...I animated the size of the texture for the volume-dissplacement so the cloud changes a bit in the movie. The value oscillates between 4 and 5. I think this aspect could have an unfavorable effect on the shading.
Using the path below, I cut the cloud in half by applying a gradient to the origin of the cloud.
Over the nodes of the cloud material, I split the cloud down the middle to get a flat bottom for the cloud. Using the lower nodes, I cut the cloud in half by applying a gradient to the origin of the cloud. (see image)
Via the upper nodes, I take back the clarity of the halving.
If you want, you can of course take a look at my file:
I would be very happy if you could help me figure out how to create a nice smooth animation now.
Many Thanks! Max
