texture node question

Hi! 

I love your course. I wanted to know how do you approach the texture nodes problem in your mind to make it simple? 

I can understand when you explain, but at some point, I see the whole picture and I become blind like as if I was looking straight at the sun, and all I see is boxes and nodes everywhere. 

I tell to myself, how am I going to be good enough to remember all that? I become intimidated by the nodes. What is the best approach to understand the nodes without be intimidated and mixed up at a point where you don't have to think too much?

    Hey Max,

    The nodes can be very intimating when learning, however with time and practise you will begin to see more clearly.

    My approach when creating a texture/shader node tree, is to make use of frames and naming them appropriately, to organise the nodes, and helps to break down the node tree into bitesize chunks easier to understand.

    That's exactly it! Couldn't have said it better myself. If you try to look at is as a whole, it's really hard to see what's going on. But, if you break it up piece by piece then it starts to make sense. Frames and labels are a great way to separate it out into chunks that make sense to you, with each section having its own specific purpose.
