Anyone having trouble with 3.0

Hey guys

Is anyone else having trouble with the rig in 3.0?

I'm experiencing a bit of trouble when linking the ball rig into a new file. Proxy seems to have been removed from this version of blender which is quite annoying. Can get around this with the 'make library override' feature. But I'm not sure if this is the right way of doing this.

Also with this way, you are unable to change the ball type. The UI seems to load in fine, and everything works on it except for the ball type function. Only way i can find a way around this is to append the ball into the scene instead of link. But that isn't the best practice?

Can anyone shed any light on any of those problems?

Or maybe @waylow is thinking of doing an update to a 3.0 rig? is that on the cards maybe?

Cheers in advance guys

Mat

@waylow should be able to help with this.

The proxy option is now obsolete, make library override is the way to go now.

I am sure there is something else you need to do, but I can't remember what.

Tried updating dependencies for the drivers, no joy.

Tried reset and resync library overrides, no joy.

    Hi Mat,

I will have to do a proper fix and release.  But here's a fixed version for you.

Basically old custom properties have to be updated to allow them to be overrideable.
If you copy over your existing rig file with this one, it should link in correctly.  (just back up first)
