Hey im trying to bevel to the edges but i get a different kind of shape than what you seem to get. Its probably not a big deal but it kind of messed it up when i tried to continued working on it. Any idea what the problem might be? I think i did everything you did. ( mine is to the left and yours to the right) 
I think your width is not matching the reference. The comma is missing in the width value. Therefore it is expanding the bevel way farther and creates a different shape
Did you apply the scale (ctrl+a) before beveling? That could also be a reason.
