Joining the CG Cookie community today!

Hello all-

I'm new to the CG Cookie community and wanted to introduce myself.

I'm a project manager at an insurance company and I don't really get to be creative for work, so Blender is my main creative output! I have been learning how to use Blender for about 1.5 years now and started with my very own Blender Donut.

In January 2021 I started an Alphabet project within Blender for practice: Every 2 weeks I've created a new scene in Blender that is inspired by a letter in the alphabet.. I hope to be finished in December and have a beautiful compilation of blender scenes that show some progression. I post them all on my personal instagram so if anyone's interested, let me know and I can share that privately :)

I don't have a specific art style yet.. I recreated my home-office a while back, a few months ago I created a fun little dog animation and just the other day I created a fun animation inspired by the Untitled Goose Game.

My ultimate goal in Blender is to be able to recreate a short scene from a Pixar movie. I would love to be able to study the crap out of one scene and recreate the models, animation, lighting etc., and learn from that entire process.

That's why I'm here!

Thanks all for your time :)

Very impressive for only 1,5 years of using Blender besides a job!

    And welcome, of course ;)

Probably the best donut I have seen, even better than mine.

This was my result from the donut tutorial. Donut, Not

I do like a donut occasionally, but I prefer cookies.

    Welcome to CG Cookie,

I would recommend you check out this Learning Flow , here you will learn the fundamentals of Mesh Modeling , Sculpting, Texturing, Materials and Shading, Digital Lighting and also Animation.

Good luck achieving your goal, the community is here to help if you need us. 👍
