Was there a reason to not use the specular at all in Unity?

    The specular map when used in unity was to shiny, so jgonzalez removed it and used the slider instead. The problem is the specular is then uniform across the whole model.

    The color texture only has the diffuse color. What I think you mean is the color shading (the lighter color edges) is in the color texture but not specular (shininess).
