Gradient texture for salt and pepper missing?

I love this tutorial, and it's helping alot. The source files don;t appear to include that texture you are applying for the salt/pepper affect. I'll skip that part since I'm doing younger hair but I'd still love to learn it is there's a way to get it. Can I just create a basic gradient in paintdotnet and use that?

    Hey @dirtnap ,

If you are using the start file it should be available, it is packed as part of the .blend, go to the texture properties with the hair object selected, scroll down a little and under image > settings you will see a file name greyed out, to the left of this there is a small icon like a file box, click this to unpack the files.

You could also create your own texture if you wish.

Thank you for your answer! I can also the plenty of utility for that in other hairs, so I appreciate this. I do always use the lessons on my own chars but will most likely take advantage of starters for other types of modeling.
