[SOLVED] Solid Shading Gone For X-Ray

Before today, I could be editing in solid mode with x-ray on and the faces would be transparent but visible. The faces are no longer visible. Any suggestions on what I might have done to change that?

Further info: This only seems to be a problem in one of the orthographic views. Looks okay in perspective. I don't recall that it worked that way before, but maybe that is the case?

Is your viewport render mode set to anything other than "solid" shading?

Viewport Display? Is set for textured but it's always set for textured. I'm going to do a clean install. I've had problems several times before (of a different nature) that were caused by add-ons. I'm going to see if that works.

Opening the same .blend file in an updated version of blender had the same result.

I exported the model, ran "blender_factory_startup.cmd", imported the model and all is well.

I'm guessing that .blend file was somehow corrupt. No idea. But I'm back in business so I'm a happy camper.

    Thanks for the response.

I have seen buggy behavior in the textured display when using x-ray. I know that Render display even sends a prompt about compatibility. But corrupt files can also do it. I think corruption happens more often than I like to admit lol.

Glad you got it sorted though.
