Referance images!

I cant find any referance images. Another user had the same problem and the solution was to click the cloud and download. Only cloud i can find is in the first video, but clicking it and the resourcefiles just opens a new tab in my browser. Clicking it one more time just appears to reload the page without downloading anything!

What is in the new tab? Maybe try another browser...Firefox opens a new tab and closes it again and I get this pop-up:

  • Morten Fjellheim(arev) replied

It opens up the same page as you are on. I have tried with 4 other browsers including firefox. I have added a video so that it is easier to understand. I have no idea about what might be causing this. It might just as well be on my end.

  • spikeyxxx replied

    That is very strange indeed.

  • Morten Fjellheim(arev) replied

Is there somewhere else i can get them?

  • Ingmar Franz(duerer) replied

aarev I suppose that some software (firewall, anti-virus-software?) is blocking the opening of pop-up windows from outside the browsers. If I click the download link, it opens a new tab which is closed again as soon as the grey pop-up window shown above in spikeyxxx 's screenshot opens. Since no pop-up window appears on your computer, the newly opened tab isn't closed and therefore continues loading a copy of the main page.

I have tried turning of my virus software with no sucess. I can stil download from other sources so i dont think that is the reason. My belief is that a script of some kind has gone corrupt. I have had severeal issues all the time i have had this pc, but i have allways been able to download stuf on other websiets and cgc in the past.

aarev Is this happening on other browsers as well or just internet explorer. I have had many issues using internet explorer since it‘s support has stopped from Microsoft. Super weird behavior and unresponsive browser pages reloading on me similar to your video.

See if google chrome or Chromium Edge browser give you any luck.

  • Morten Fjellheim(arev) replied

Well, there is a video up there showing me trying diferent browsers. Google chrome is my browser of choice and is the one where the issue first happend.

  • Morten Fjellheim(arev) replied

Thank you Kent. Maybe he can figure it out. If not, i use two screens and with you sculpting on one i can use that as referance.

  • Kent Trammell replied

Nick says it's probably a browser extension causing it. But if you've tried on numerous browsers then maybe not...?

Have you tried downloading other CGC source files to see if you get the error there too?

  • Kent Trammell replied

Also if the reference image specifically is what you need, here it is from Alyssa's gallery: https://cgcookie.com/u/veyz/projects/shark-shape-studies

  • Morten Fjellheim(arev) replied

Just tried to download the house in Lampels topology course, this doesnt work at elast in google chrome and/or firefox.

  • Kent Trammell replied

Have you tried clearing your browser's cache + cookies?

  • Morten Fjellheim(arev) replied

I did now, but stil no luck.

  • spikeyxxx replied

So, if I understand correctly, you turned off all of the  AVG stuff, tried different Browsers and only CGCookie things don't download...at least not since a few days or so (you used to be able to download from CGC in the past...).

You did check your Firewall settings as well, like duerer suggested, didn't you?

This is just a recap, I don't have a solution yet, unfortunately.

  • Morten Fjellheim(arev) replied

Yes to everything, though i didnt check diferent browsers while my internet security (including firewall) was turned of. Also. windows firewall wasnt active either.
