After my latest flight searching for the hidden pond, I began to give in more and more to my inquisitive, explorer nature. I followed the old gravel road behind the Carpenter farm, further than I had ever explored before. I'd heard that years before there was an auto shop back in the woods. After driving my 4 wheeler (quad bike, for my friends overseas), I came to the end of the road where the gravel widened a bit. I saw what looked like a concrete wall covered by the surrounding brush. After a few minutes of traipsing through the undergrowth, I realized it was the old auto shop. I found an unlocked door and entered. Kind of spooky but this is what I found. It had a long slit in the top of the wall on two sides, sort of a skylight almost. Very interesting. After seeing a few scurrying mice and one snake slithering across the floor, I thought it best that I leave. I just got a weird feeling that any second a velociraptor was going to jump up from behind the car and chew my face off.
Looking great with a cool story. It may be a velociraptor or maybe an angry mechanic asking for the cash he is owed. Either way some running is involved.
