I absolutely adore Florianne Becker's concepts, so it was a privilege to work on this one (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/A9QNny). I didn't achieve the level of cuteness of the original, but I learned a ton of new things (most importantly that trying to match 3D against 2D can be sometimes nightmare-inducing. In both the effort and the result.) Modelled, sculpted, resculpted and retopologized (I've lost count of how many times), textured and rendered with Blender 2.81. I started texturing in Substance Painter, but found out that Blender was the more suitable tool in this case. Rendered with Cycles, using just 10 samples (the AI denoiser is truly awesome).
