Time Teller Final

A wall clock. The design is reduced to use the most primary form of a clock; the circle as the basis for all form elements of the product. Only circles and ovals (half circles joined by straight lines) have been used to achieve the form. The face has been reduced to a clean circular disc without digits. The hour hand has been embedded in the plexiglass, which makes the whole disc work as the hour hand. The complete product is made up of only three plastis parts, apart from the clockwork. Modelling, rendering and compositing in blender. Texture for the fiberglass wall was created in Krita. Only other environment component is a white diffuse plane for reflection and bounce light. Lighting is three surface planes; main light, warm floor light and a cold window light. Finally a spotlight was used for direct object lighting. To get a more studio-like feel to the picture, the camera sensor was set to 60 x 60 mm (Hasselblad MF filmsize). Camera lens 85 mm, f/stop 5.6. Rendered using Cycles.
