Made in Blender 2.70 for volumetrics.
The label was built in Illustrator CS6.
Rendered in cycles at 400 samples in just under 25 minutes, no clamping either!
I am really happy with the noise level in this, though it took a lot of fiddling. I'm not sure what's up with the artifacting in that band around the cork, but I am hoping when I put a real cork texture on it that will help hide it, at least.
Still to do: UV Unwrap and texture the cork, maybe add a normal map to put some subtle ridges on the part you grab on to, maybe tweak the lighting some to get a better reflection on the flared bottom of the bottle.
In retrospect, I realize there are two "lies" on the label. I built the label for a project I did in a previous version of blender which was rendered on GPU, and technically it shouldn't be a single malt.
Clearly, it's blended. >.>
