The Creature is still a WIP! Final

Some progress being made on my latest model. I've been trying to get a grip on hair styling and rendering (Blender Internal in this case). There's a real frustration in not being able to get hair shadows from ray traced lighting but the overall image is pretty effective to my eye. I've also had problems using ambient occlusion in combination with close fitting transparent meshes. It simply doesn't do the job and "occludes" everything where the meshes overlap. Some post work in GIMP and filters of t'internet completed this render.
