My Status S2 Bass.
Painted in Photoshop.
Image was not phototraced or overpainted - but I use the grid of Photoshop.
Used and abused a considerable amount of filters, layer effects, layer masks and a bunch of saved selections to achieve the depth of field.
As a final step I noised the hell out of the image.
Time approx. 20 hours.
Well, ...I think it was worth the time spend.
Yes - this bass has a whammy bar ;)
I tend to blow guitarists 'out of the water' - so to speak :D
The bass is completely custom build by Rob Green and his team at Status Graphite in Colchester, UK.
It's amongst the finest instruments and of the highest quality I've ever played or seen.
The setback is that you better don't mind selling your car when you try to free some bucks to purchase one of these basses...
