Challenged to come up with a Jack-O’-Lantern design for the October 2018 Pumpkin Contest, this concept was inspired by the deep sea fangfish. It seemed fitting to combine the allure of candy and some degree of cute with clearly dangerous elements in this eerie, dark night, woods edge setting. Modeling and almost all lighting was done in Blender, then separate layer renders were composited in Photoshop.
