Sculpting Challenge Day 2 – Buffy the Vampire Slayer Final

Day 2 for me in this "30 Portraits in 30 Days" challenge. This time I tried to draw Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It ended up nowhere close to what I was aiming for, but at least I can laugh at it. I apologize for the super rough hair -- once again, I ran out of time in the day. Lessons learned: -I tried using front and side reference images in orthographic mode, but this didn't seem to help much. When I went into perspective mode, her face didn't look right anyway. I think I would've been better off just starting in perspective mode and trying to get her general skull shape in place, then going in and drawing the details. That was my approach with the Selesnya Guildmage yesterday, and it seemed to work better. -When sculpting on thin surfaces like what I tried to use for the hair, it's very easy to accidentally affect the opposite surface with the clay strips brush. -The outlines of a person's lips are not the ridges that stick the farthest out.
