Saul Loch Junction Gates Final

This is a project ive been working on in my free time. Modelling, texturing, and animating the Saul Loch Junction gates. These gates are modelled first in Rhino using Tsplines, and then imported into blender as .obj files, where I textured them as Oak (incorrectly, turns out the planks are actually pine!). The model is based off a set of drawings made in 1880. I made the textures myself, creating the relf, disp, and bump map in Photoshop by adjusting the levels in greyscale. There is still some work to go, namely fixing the canal textures (too pixelated), changing to pine textures for the planks, and adding some paint. As well as work on a better water texture (water added using Fluid dynamics). All of this was made possible from the fundamentals of blender learning flow. It looks like a very stormy day because it is the UK! Any thoughts, suggestions, etc appreciated! Rendered in Cycles.
