Homopus areolatus, commonly known as the common padloper or parrot-beaked tortoise
Padloper means Roadwalker because these little guys tend to walk across roads. There is even a little Afrikaans rhyme about the tortoise on the road side
This is my first attempt at using Blender 2.8's new Grease pencil.
I am quite Happy with the result. Usually I do this kind of work in Photoshop. It was a great way to practice and get acquainted with Grease Pencil.
I hope to explore it more in depth and move into animation
I would appreciate any critique or feedback, not only on this one but some of my other Tortoises.
I really love tortoises and would like to keep on improving on my illustrations of them
