This scene takes place in 2097 in a laboratory.
The nature has suffered under the climate change and many species have gone extinct. In order to save the earth rare animals are caught and cloned or bred, so after the ongoing Ice Age many habitats can be repopulated.
This robot is an advanced android with full self-aware AI helping in the cloning department. Even though his job is only about the chemical analysis the beauty of nature fascinates him. He would like to take a closer look at all the animals in the laboratory. His curiosity is overwhelming and one day against the strict rules at his work place he opens one of the container. A blue butterfly is lying on his hand and he wonders how something this small can be so lovely and important to a robot like him.
