This is my first 3D render that I created from the ground up. I didn't create the same room in this tutorial, because I wanted to challenge myself to use the basic concepts I was learning to create something of my own. There are a few problems: the checkers are all red (I made them black and red, but I guess something got messed up along the way), and some of the materials are a little too shiny ... but there weren't any problems big enough for me to want to go through the 4.5 hour render again. :P
