Cannon With Spokes Final

Created with Blender 2.72b Removed the old spokes and created a new set. I used a profile from the plan for the spoke. Then using https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6KRwbp7p6Q tutorial I did a circular array with the spoke to move it around the center. One of the best tips from this tutorial is that make sure you've applied location, rotation & scale to the object being arrayed. I used 14 spokes because that's what the plan called for not because of aesthetics. Much more to do on this. It wouldn't be a bad candidate for a short tutorial series. It has/would have: Working from a plan/background image Modeling Modifiers Texturing You could also do a 21 gun salute animation (now how cool would that be?) Smoke simulation (don't know how) Fire simulation (don't know how) Recoil animation (don't know how) Sound (don't know how) What'cha think staff? Anyone up for the challenge?
