1-14-2014-character-creation-in-blender-lesson-1-2b Final

This mesh was created by following the Character Creation course by John Williamson. I made a basic mesh using another character sketch and realize the potential in modeling 3d objects from 2d pictures. I have growing concerns that my speed is too slow to learn this material efficiently. The greatest time wasters I have is a wondering mind and running into Blender version changes. This course was made with Blender 2.5x and I am running 2.69. Changes to the knife tool, while effective, cause me to spend more time researching why the tutorial videos instructions don't match up with the behavior of my version of Blender. I suppose the options are run into these problems now, or run into them later. Things that I learned in this lesson: 1. Making sure faces are evenly distributed is very important just based on how many actions are based on that goal (of making faces evenly distributed). 2. Proportional editing only works when you scroll down to around 0.1 with a small object.
