Ever since I was young I've been fascinated with games and the way they work. Now I get to teach the amazing world of game development. I'm always learning and always willing to teach what I've picked up along the way. You can directly contact me here, through the message boards or even through my person site linked to the side.

Gonzo, would it be cool to someday see how to make an interior visualization of an apartment in Unity?

Are all those post-processing setting applied to the camera?

Fine tune dialing is always a thing, no matter the software

ouch indeed. That's a huge step. I've not played modern video games in years, so less visual compromise in my case. HZD is soooo gorgeous

Thing is I played Horizon Zero Dawn right before Zelda and sadly my eyes went ouch

  • Largeauthor
    Omar Domenech

Zelda looks good, but more importantly is really enjoyable

  • Largeauthor
    Omar Domenech

Yes, I knew to restrain my comments on animated movies, now I have to apply that to games also

  • Largecrew
    Kent Trammell

haha same for my friends that go to the movies with me. I've learned over the years to not bring up VFX quality unless asked ☺️

My friends roll their eyes all the time when I mount that wave

Given the low specs, I think the grass and certain materials look quite nice in BotW

  • Largecrew
    Kent Trammell

True dat. I wonder how much more powerful the switch is than smart phones..probably not by much

  • Largeauthor
    Omar Domenech

I now pay attention to a lot of that stuff, normal maps, how the surface reflections break on the textures

  • Largeauthor
    Omar Domenech

Yeah, plus the map on zelda is huge, I guess they had to do some compromises

  • Largecrew
    Kent Trammell

I assume it's the cost of lower-spec'd hardware, compared to xbox one and ps4

  • Largecrew
    Kent Trammell

dostovel Heh I know what you mean. Rocket league on the switch is like that too

  • Largeauthor
    Omar Domenech

It looks horribly saw like, all the edges

I started playing Zelda Breath of the Wild, there is no anti-aliasing in that game
