[Q] Could you slow down a bit

  • Shawn Blanch(blanchsb)

So checker deselect and then select similar --- edge loops

  • Omar Domenech(dostovel)

[Q] I remember an addon called Mesh Lint that checked all the geometry for things that weren't all quads, is that still around for 2.8x?

  • Shawn Blanch(blanchsb)

Your right Spikey but then you can select edge loops by doing a Select Similar (Shift G) if I remember correctlly and then use select edge loops

  • spikeyxxx

blanchsb if I remember correctly Checker Deselect deselects a checker pattern (duh); it won't deselect every other edge loop...

  • Peter Varga(rationalrats)

sshanr try and be more specific (what does not seem to work, regarding the array question posted earlier) and, perhaps the forum would be "a better place" since, we are not doing anything with the array modifier at the moment, here and now...

Buckle up for a LONG project.

Thanks to my kids I've become quite fond of "diggers" over the past couple years. All the complex shapes, hard edges, bolts, hydraulics, tire treads, etc. It's a modelers playground and labyrinth rolled into one.

I'm going to start building a digger - a Caterpillar 434E specifically - as accurately and detailed as I can. The name of the game here is organization, perseverance, and efficiency because most of the shapes are not difficult to build. There's just. so. many. of. them. Which gave me an idea...

Stop! Collaborate and Listen

Why don't we build this thing together? For those interested in following the project, I'm hoping at least a few will participate by modeling certain pieces of the backhoe themselves to be submitted to me for review and incorporation into the final model.

Check out the Collaboration Forum thread for more info!
