    Just tested something. I used the skin modifier. Did 2 layers of subdiv. I applied everything, then I selected the bottom two face loops. I scaled it on the z axis with proportional editing and a sphere curve. Worked good for me, and it's not so dense.

    [Q] Ah, I didnt know you couldnt sculpt bezier curves. I thought with all the control points it might be easier to sculpt it. But proportional mode seemed to work just as well if not better. :)

Because I think the stitching is fun to make..

A random project, perhaps, but it's a fun one nonetheless! Using curves and procedural thread materials we can achieve a high-fidelity result without too much work or time. Just think of all the patches and embroidery you can add to your characters! ;)
