Rita Interesting. As i've said, if it works for you. :) I am by no means a great draftsman, just that im used to deal with proportions early.
When in doubt paint it out.

I discipline myself to sketch from feet up to head. It was experimental at first, until I got accustomed to doing so.

Jan-willem, I have my methods. In drawing, I sometimes start from feet up to heads. I have old videos of figure sketching at Youtube,, if you care to see them.
