You refer multiple times to links in the video description, but I have no idea where that is? I’ve looked on both mobile and desktop browsers

Please use this add-on to show what keys you are pressing.
    https://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Extensions:2.6/Py/Scripts/3D_interaction/Screencast_Key_Status_Tool

Sometimes you do certain actions and you don’t say what you did. It becomes hard to remember what was the key to do that again yourself.

    Thanks

Unfortunately this add-on is not being actively maintained and is quite buggy now; which is why we no longer use it.

Just a comment really…Horizontal lines go left to right (like the horizon), Vertical lines go up and down…noticed you use these terms backwards in the video when explaining how to split windows :)

Hi, I’m using Blender 2.78 and I have two noob questions.

    1. When I try to right click in the clear area of the tool bar I do not get a split screen option. Where would I find this in the 2.78 version of Blender?

    2. I also accidentally get the transform bar as a part of the right region and I’m not clear on how to get rid of that without switching back to the default layout. Is there a way to get rid of that without a viewport reset?

For splitting the screen you must right click on the dividing bar, not the header area.

As for the transform bar, I’m not quite sure what you mean…can you provide a screenshot?
