Marble is a natural stone that’s often used in architecture, countertops, tile, and statues/sculptures among other things. It’s veiny pattern and translucence make it valuable challenge in terms of procedural texture generation and subsurface scatter quality. In this lesson we will focus on the following 3 shader elements: - Procedural vein pattern via vector curves modification - Translucence (subsurface scattering) and supplemental absorption - Polished glossy reflections.
