Just starting to discover the true power of blender. This is a model that I made using sphere primitives and hair particles. Then I used the particle tools and slapped a plane into the scene for the final render.
Yea, his tutorials are really good. I did his "Soccer Ball" tut. In that one he does like a dozen different commands and actions that I had never seen done anywhere else before. He truly knows his stuff.
