All of Blender's sculpting functionality lives in Sculpt Mode. From brushes to features to tools, this is where you'll find everything you need to sculpt amazing things with digital clay!
Brushes are your primary tool when sculpting and Blender offers a long list! Additionally there are a plethora of features, menus, and parameters to customize your sculpting workflow.
Beyond forming digital clay, there are tools for posing your sculptures as well adding color through painting.
Blender offers 3 sculpting 'formats' to accommodate various situations: Multires, Voxel Remesh, and Dynamic Topology. Each has powerful benefits as well as limitations to inform our workflow.
Finally we'll apply the tools toward the reason they exist in the first place: Sculpting cool things! In chapter 3 we'll sculpt a stylized shark character from concept art, start to finish.

I was quite afraid to start sculpting, as it seemed like quite a big step up. But this course was great for breaking that ice. And I got a nice shark buddy as a reward :D

I took this course as part of the CORE curriculum and the caliber of teaching and feedback has been truly impressive so far! Kent explains the reasoning behind every action and gives you time to practice alongside him in real time, motivating you to keep going when you may feel you've hit a wall. This was a second stop in my Core journey ... and let me tell you, this course was amazing. It was quick, informative ride packed with thoughtfull remarks, usefull information and eye puns, also it leaves space for your imagination to kick in and fill these gaps between 2d and 3d art. I doubted that I can sculpt anything pleasing to watch, but it surpassed all my expectations. I liked the course and i liked Kent's humor. Thank you very much, sir
I never thought Iād be able to sculpt anything at all)). But I really like my shark. An amazing teacher and a well-designed course!
The course was worth the time and cost. After watching everything it feels like the barrier to entry has been removed. That said there is mention of retopo but no demonstration and there's no document for keyboard shortcuts provided. These are the only two things I think are missing or would be great to add. again, a good course that's worth the investment.
You can really tell how Kent keeps growing as a teacher. The pacing for the course, the time you take explaining every tool and the reasoning behind why you make certain choices, the tips and tricks, it is all very enlightening. Thanks for keeping the bar so high up!
This is a great course for beginners, but also for people that already might know some sculpting, it is good to get here to remember some stuff you might forget or not apply so often :)
