EEVEE Sub-Surface Scattering not Rendering

I'm hoping that this will be an easy answer but I haven't found one out in the Googleverse.

I have a simple scene and when I view it in the viewport the sub-surface scattering seems to render fine using EEVEE.  But when I do a full render it does not seem to be working.  I know it is in beta so I'm not sure if it is a setting that I'm missing or if I just ran across a glitch in the Matrix. 

Cycles renders properly and I have a RTX2080
