Kaffeetisch Final

My mother-in-law asked for a picture showing a warm "grandmother-like" coffee place setting. I hope, i hit the target.

Thank you both for the critism.

I improved the render based on your suggestions.

  • I think you've definitely hit the target, the atmosphere is very nice. I also like the "marble" inside of the cake. While the texture still has room for improvement in terms of realism, I think you are on the right track. (Food is notoriously difficult to get right.) Regarding the rest of the scene, I have two minor suggestions. The napkin texture looks a bit like cork to me - if you were going for paper, the bumps are maybe too strong. And the second thing is the flowers. I guess they are the same model, which is fine, but two of them are also rotated in the same direction, which makes them stand out as unnaturally similar. But as I've said, these are just minor peeves - I'm looking forward to seeing more projects from you in the future.

  • williamatics Sorry about the bad english. Its not my native language. There is no excuse for the comma. :)

Thank you for the hint about the tutorial. The cake-texture realy could be improved. I will take a look.

  • My criticism consists of pointing out the fact that while most of the scene looks realistic, The sugar cubes and cake interior look fake. You should watch Blender Guru's tutorial about bread. (Although don't take that recommendation seriously because I have never watched it.) Also, the word "I" is always capitalized and that comma shouldn't be there.
