yyukinoh1989 just realize this post x.x"" and late for replying but damn forgot to erase the 'x' axis extras frames but yeah you right that Wayne mentions it.

but yeah super thanks for taking your time to make this for the comparison is really useful!!!

  • np i am glad to help out . also remember that sometimes when you have unnesesarie keys on certain locations you can always delete them to make work even more easy :) . i look forward to see youre progress as well with this exercise as with others :)

yyukinoh1989 no worries in replying late, I expect you would be busy with your own stuff. Though if you tired you should rest as much as possible.

also the scaling thing, didn't thought about it and it help so thanks. and thanks for everything jeje

  • i also downloaded youre file adjusted it a bit and uploaded it to my drive .
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OBOiLDZfEQiNrCazBro3veJ4_OqQm1ZB/view?usp=sharing

so what i did was remove the keys on the X location when the ball is in the air. since the X location determinate how far it travles in the x we just need the start and end point since that way its easyer to controll. i am not sure but i know wayne mentioned it somewhere . so when you see i removed them you will know that does not impact youre animation since it only make the curve more consistent without having lots of work . you will also notice i changed the start of the X key slightly but overall youre X keys will be almost as good once you delete the one in the middle and adjust the first one. then i looked into the Z location (i took away the anatation since you will see the curve trough the path. )
at the Z location i mostly worked on the last 2 bounces.
now what else i did was taking out some frames . sometimes its better to take out some frames to give it a more natural speed .
so for now again as i mentioned before you did amazing already . the improvement is really good . so check out the example i sended at top here . compare it to yours .
then watch the video of wayne again one more time and try to edid youre file :).
perhaps you can then also make a new version where you see the ball ending still in screen with the little wobble. Of course that is someting you will have to decide for youreself.
i look forward to see the next version of it :)
again sorry i took this long to get back .

PS : if there are mistakes like before forgive me xD
sometimes i just end up typing so fast my eyes cant keep up and ya i just type what i think without really reading it myself ^^

  • ttobioreo hey . really nice improvement already. the arcs looks much better as does the start .
i agree with miranda its indeed a bit too floaty but tighten us the top handels of the curves should help. just scale them a bit down .
and of course if you like you can always already continue another exercise .
sorry that i replied this late (stared back with working and been really tired) .
again really great improvement from the first one . you sure can be proud already .

ssmurfmier1985 hmm, I see...ay ay this has been really helpful thank you once more ;)

  • ttobioreo well you actually want to avoid the floating feeling, because gravity has a hold on your ball. Here's a picture of the shape you want your arcs to be:

    https://www.slimleren.nl/files/800_800/206891.png

At the top you want tight spacing, so it slows a bit down in the air, but it should still be rounded so it keeps moving through the air, when it's flat it's like it's floating in space and that's not what you want. Towards the ground the spacing gaps should get bigger, wit the biggest one the last one before it hits the ground.

Don't worry if it's hard to grasp at first, I had to do adjust this one tree times before I got it, it's not easy. What might help is rewatching some of Wayne's videos, especially the one where he explains timing&spacing.

    Hope this helps :)

ssmurfmier1985 Thank you so much for the feedback. Am trying to do the z axis only like the hang of it cause keep getting confuse by it. Also do you have any tip on how to make it floaty feeling...because in one of them does have it and the others don't.
