Stitching Badge Work In Progress

This is obvioulsy in honour of this year's EURO 2020 tournament. This is based on an older live stream done by @theluthier of how to create a stitched logo. I couldn't really follow it properly on the latest Blender, so I have decided to try and use it on the closest 2.8 version I have. Not entirely happy with it, there are plenty of things I need to change. As you can see when I wrapped it around the model's arm, some colours have disapeared. that is to do with the weird geometry and that fact that it can't wrap around properly, so I decided to leave them out. overall I enjoyed it because I learned new things and in some cases it forced me to think of solutions where I got stuck. I will try and finish it off by adding a shirt to the model otherwise it would be very painful to have something like this stitched to ones skin.. :( ouch.

  • @theluthier Yeah, I know. there are a few errors I have noticed too on the model. especially the material on the outline stitching is wrong on the blue person on the right. I just wanted to get it all done and see the 1st draft what it looked like. thanks a lot for your feedback

Love this ssimonsez11! Your patch turned out good. The voronoi pattern in the stitching is a bit noticeable up close but for broader character renders I bet it's not noticeable a all 👍
