1947 Dodge Power Wagon with character. Modelled and rendered (cycles) in Blender 2.79.
I agree. It needs a lot more stuff in it to tell a story. Thanks for the feedback.
aanarchymedes 'a few rocks or boughs' I mean: damn this soft keyboard! :-)
I would 1. make a lot more chaotic footprints around the truck, and churn the sand around its door and hood; 2. make the character's cloths a lot dirtier and sweat-stained; and finally 3. either make smoke coming out from under the truck's hood, or some fluid (oil?) dripping from it onto the sand. That'd tell a story: a poor girl broke down in the middle of nowhere, tried this and that, and now... Well, that sort of things. And as a finishing touch, there could be some tools lying around, and a few rocks or bought scattered over the desert floor... Or bones. Or a skull. :-)
Thanks for that. Yes, and it's very evenly lit too which doesn't help.
I think it's the shading. The materials seem to be rather dull; especially the character's.
If anyone has the time I would welcome some feedback on this one. It's all looking a bit flat.
