Sculpting Newb + ADHD + 80s Horror Fan = THIS THING Final

At 42, I am attempting 3D art for the 2nd time in my life. I am thoroughly enjoying the Fundamentals training as it provides instruction in a way that allows me to absorb small bits and then go experiment and return to where I left off without delay. I was two squishes of the quad cube into Kent Trammell's shark sculpt class when I realized the shape spoke "skull" to me. Four days later, with multiple detours, I am pretty happy with this sculpt. I learned a lot. (I'll figured out the best way to do those bones in a future project. The Array rabbit hole was deeeeep!) LOL, now where did I leave my shark file?

I am working with a 10-yr-old base Imac, so I need to look at some work arounds. Lags become terrible with more than 2 modifiers. All the bone tentacles are 1 object, so they distorted using pose. I'm thinking of parenting the bones individually to the vertex of a guideline, kind of like a ski lift. I'm guessing rigging is probably a better option for control, but it's outside my skillset at the moment.

  • This is a really nice sculpt.

Yeah, array or something like ti for repeating detail, though I'm sure getting it to curve the way you wanted was challenging.
