This is the first time I have used Blender for product visualization for a customer. I recently left my employment and the Company I worked for asked me to create some Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for the assembly of some of the components I used to build for them.
Not having access to Solidworks or Inventor I used Blender to create product models from the 2D drawings, so I could use them to explain how the products were put together. This image is of the assembled product - Natural Gamma Sensor and is used to measure the ash content in coal being transported on a conveyor. I shall post an image of the exploded view in the next couple of days, also of the Natural Gamma Background Sensor.
The image looked a bit bare without a background so I have created a Blueprint backdrop using the 2D CAD drawings used to produce the model.
